Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences theory includes 8 intelligences, and possibly even more according to Gardner himself. However, over the decades, he has become increasingly dismayed at the practice in K-12 to lump his theory with another trend, called "learning styles." Over time, “multiple intelligences” became synonymous with “learning styles.” In this Answer Sheet blog post, Garner, as guest columnist, seeks to set the record straight.
