The Lowdown on Longhand: How Writing by Hand Benefits the Brain [from Edutopia]
I resist the dichotomy that suggests writing by hand is better than taking notes digitally. I think it's up to the individual. I do like the idea of adapting the "lab notebook" used by scientists into "a personal notebook" in which students record observations and draw pictures.
